17. Practical Utopia

Seeing where money goes and how people vote helps us ask: did it make life better? Use the records to pick a goal, plan a task, and check the result. A bigger budget or a promise is not proof of progress. Link the source and say what changed.

From public records to useful work

  1. Follow the votes and money to see what was decided and paid for.
  2. Use audits and oversight to ask what worked and what needs fixing.
  3. Choose a clear task in energy, government, local AI and robots, mind and attention, or cooperation.
  4. Say what you will measure. Add a public source that shows what changed.

A task starts as proposed. It can move to in progress, achieved with a source, then verified after an editor checks the source. New public items wait for review. No wins are assumed.

Keep checking

More money spent does not always mean a better result. Look for lower costs, useful work, and benefits people can check. If the evidence does not support a claim, say so and change the task. Sources first; no party or leader gets a free pass.
